The time has come.
After 25 Years, Netflix Is Ending Its DVD Rental Program

In news that’s sure to shock and disappoint grandparents everywhere, Netflix has announced it will be closing its DVD by mail rental service, which it started 25 years ago and helped launch it into the entertainment powerhouse it is today. And, I think I speak for everyone here when I say I assume this had already happened years ago. It will ship its last discs on September 29th of this year, and I’m hoping to receive the very last DVD sent, then never return it and sell it on eBay for a million dollars. Cha-ching!

Thanks to my dad, who agrees this is the end of an era, and we can never go back. Just kidding! DVDs will rise again once AI destroys the internet.
