This is a video of a spiny flower mantis (Pseudocreobotra wahlbergi, aka the target mantis due to the large eyespots on its forewings) performing a 7-minute defensive dance to let a presumed threat (in this case the cameraman) know that it will fight you, and it will tear you limb-from-limb

This is a short video of a poor decision making Texas woman who tried to bake a pizza (I know, even that’s too hard for some people) and accidentally set the oven to self-clean mode, at which point the oven door locked and it heated up to 800°F (~427°C). She

These are a few clips in a row of Italian skateboarding dog Rush navigating a tight U-turn constructed out of traffic cones by leaning on the board into the turn. That is impressive. For reference, the last time I made a U-turn I crashed into the median and ran over

These are several shots and a video of a leucistic raccoon (previously: a leucistic penguin) taken by photographer Kendra Smith outside her home that she submitted to the Oregon Department Of Fish And Wildlife. In I’m out of breath just watching news, this is a compilation video of athletes (I’m pretty sure softball players) all running at 19+MPH on a treadmill. For reference, I don’t think I’ve ever run at even 10MPH, and the fastest I’ve ever run on my treadmill is laying on

This is a video of precious angel Mitzi performing a little impromptu horror movie soundtrack as she strolls across an electronic keyboard. Of course it doesn’t hurt that the effects active on the synthesizer really lend themselves to a horror movie atmosphere. Did her owner set her up for this
