This is a video of a baby sloth that was found crying on the beach after it fell from its mother high in a tree and couldn’t get back up to her. “I’m coming!” I imagine the mother yelling down from the tree after the baby fell, “I just need you to sit tight for a few days.” Thankfully, a worker at the Jaguar Rescue Center in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica found the baby and located the mother, who met the worker at the base of the tree to collect its baby. Well that’s a relief. The baby’s dad? He took off as soon as he found out he was going to be a father, so he’s almost two trees away.
