This is a video from the Oregon Zoo of the park’s resident pachyderms smashing and eating some 1,200 pounds of pumpkins to celebrate the arrival of autumn. You know I actually did something similar on the very first day of fall to celebrate the changing of the season, but in the form of a warm pumpkin spice latte at my friend Julie’s house. And yes, in hindsight I do feel bad for the incredible mess I left her to clean up, including the orange stains on the ceiling. I was just excited and I’m sorry.
