As you can see, after factoring in a bus ride, any state that isn’t at least healthy urine yellow is starting what would be considered by any ethics committee weighing in on the subject as “entirely too early.” I can’t remember what time school started when I was growing up in Alabama, but I do remember always leaving the house when it was still dark out. AND it already being dark out again when the final bell rung. “Was it uphill both ways too?” I wish! It was a down escalator we had to run up with an alligator chasing us.
