Police Raid Illegal Cryptocurrency Mining Operation Running on 3,800 Playstation 4’s

Police in Ukraine recently raided an illegal cryptocurrency mining operation in the city of Vinnytsia and discovered over 3,800 PS4’s doing the digging, with an additional 500 graphics cards and 50 processors. The operation is believed to have been using electric meters that had been tampered with to report false data, stealing somewhere between $186,200 to $259,300 of electricity per month to power the mine. Damn, that’s a lot of electricity! Enough to power a flux capacitor? Maybe. All I’m saying is these criminals should just be thankful they weren’t using PS5’s or I would have raided the operation myself months ago to play Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
