All work and no play makes Jack a dull ant.
Timelapse Of Leafcutter Ants Cutting Up A Rose

These are a couple videos from scientist Adrian Smith of Ant Lab discussing and documenting the work of leafcutter ants cutting the petals off a rose, as well as carving up a bunch of leaves, all to feed to their fungus garden back home. The first video is short and sweet, the second is a lot more in-depth in case you’re really into this sort of thing. Knowing me, I’d try to remove the whole leaf in one cut so I could already be done with work for the day, then fail to carry it back to the hill because it’s too heavy, get banished by the queen, and end up married to and divorced from a rolly polly. REAL TALK.
