Capybara Effortlessly Runs Underwater Along The Bottom Of River

Captured by nature photographer Fernando Maidana, this is a video of a capybara (a giant rodent, like my previous roommate turned out to be) smoothly running across the bottom of a river at the Recanto Ecológico Rio da Prata in Jardim in Brazil. I assume it opted for the underwater run in an effort to avoid the attention of potential predators. Or, who knows, maybe it just felt like a bit of exercise. I doubt that though. In my own experience you typically only exercise to avoid dying or attract a mate.
