This is a video of a male humpback whale circling the Tonga Islands (a popular spot with the females to bear calves since there are no killer whales there — the biggest threat to young humpbacks) in the South Pacific Ocean and singing his heart out in an attempt to attract a lover. Me? I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve sung karaoke in an effort to attract a mate and gone home alone. Or, more accurately, with an extra large pizza or double cheeseburger. Good times. Good, lonely times.
