Built by mountain biker and experimental bike maker Sam Pilgrim (previously), this is a video of a side-by-side tandem mountain bike where both riders get a pair of pedals and handlebars, but only the right-hand rider can steer and use the brakes. Obviously, if you’re a control freak, you’ll want to ride on the right side. But if you’re a lazy layabout like me who doesn’t care if they get hurt as long as they can chug a beer in the process, then the left side is your answer.
