National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation: I’ve already watched it four times this holiday season and it’s not even Thanksgiving yet. Made by Tree Buddees and available on Amazon (product link), this unlicensed ‘Light Up Fried Cat Rug Funny Christmas Lights Decoration’ looks like Aunt Bethany’s fried cat after chewing through a string of Christmas lights, complete with faux fur and actual string of functional lights. Per Cousin Eddie: “If that thing had 9 lives, she just spent ’em all.” Now get a pet grooming friend to collect a few bags of cut fur for you and burn some just before guests arrive to complete the effect. Shitter was full!

This is a video of the all-electric Jetson ONE single-seat vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) flying machine (seen here previously) taking a flight through the woods. And by flight through the woods I mean along a straight cleared path through the woods, not like the speeder bike chase scene on Endor from Return Of The Jedi like I was hoping for. Still, I suppose we’re getting somewhere. After all, some people say the shortest path between two points is a straight line despite my insistence it’s actually one that detours to stop at every roadside food stand and nudie bar along the way.

This is a video of voice actor Rudi Rok performing 40 different animal sounds. Everything from a gorilla to a chicken to a cow to a woodpecker (not Woody) to a mosquito to a zebra to a kangaroo to a seagull to a velociraptor to a cougar. From what I could gather from watching the video, the secret to performing a realistic animal sound is trying to look as much like the animal as possible while doing it. Valuable info.

Because when it rains, it pours, this is some security cam footage of a skateboarder attempting a kickflip and failing and losing a wheel in the process. Tony Hawk is not impressed. Then, after getting up and realizing he lost a wheel, he attempts to leap the curb on foot and eats shit again, before deciding to storm off without his board. I don’t know, maybe his coordination isn’t quite kickflip ready. Or even walking. Obviously, if I were him I’d seriously consider trading in my skateboard and feet for one of those motorized shopping carts they keep in the vestibule at the grocery store.

Let’s face it: an ugly Christmas sweater can only be so ugly in 2D, to really take things to the next level you need to add another dimension. Is it really an ugly Christmas sweater though? I mean this thing looks CLASSY. Add a monocle and top hat to your outfit and everyone will wonder who invited Mr. Peanut to their Christmas party.

This is a video from Front Street West and Spadina Avenue in Toronto of a high-rise construction job gone wrong when a large window pane being hoisted by a crane begins swinging and spinning in the wind, eventually striking the building and raining shattered glass onto the street below. Apparently one person was treated for minor injuries, but amazingly nobody faked much more serious injuries like I would have hoping to cash in.
