Because everybody uses their spare time differently (I have no spare time), this is a video of Youtuber Chris Makes Stuff constructing a hubless, electric penny farthing bike. The hubless design is cool, but the motorization is a must — pedaling is one of my least favorite part of riding a bike, second only to getting hit by cars. Could you imagine if Chris could travel back in time to the 1880’s with his bike? He’s get all the 19th century ladies! Full disclosure: I know nothing about 19th century ladies besides the giant hoop skirts. But who can’t help falling in love with a time traveler?
