THIS IS TAKING TOO LONG
Connecting To The Internet With 1990’s Technology, Today

Nostalgia: I remember playing Warcraft II PvP over a 56k modem with friends in high school. I’d purposefully pick up the phone if they were going to beat me. This is a video of Youtuber Gough Lui connecting to the internet 90’s style via an period-appropriate PC (with Intel Pentium 1 100MHz processor and 32MB of RAM) running Windows 98 and using browsers of the time, over a 31.2K dial-up modem. I remember those days. Could you imagine if this was as fast as we could access the internet was today? We’d all just be one giant screaming meltdown, and everywhere would be the murder capital of the world.
