This is a video highlighting the work of foley artists and the incredible difficulty in making just the right footstep sound effects (considered one of the hardest to duplicate) for television and movies. There is a surprising amount of thought, technique, footwear, and materials to step on that go into creating just the right sounds. Of course if you need footsteps that sound like an elephant stomping around aimlessly, you could just record my upstairs neighbors. Same goes for if you need the world’s fastest lovemaking.
