This is some wing-cam footage of pilot Vincent Fraser making an emergency landing on a North Carolina mountain highway following the failure of his Aero Commander 100’s engine. He does a great job, and it looks like a textbook emergency landing. Of course he’s lucky that happened in the mountains of North Carolina and not in my neighborhood, because there’s no way the drivers around here would have ever let him merge.
