Presumably as a high-five to the nation’s first president, Thor struck the Washington Monument with a lightning bolt Sunday night, taking out the structure’s elevator and forcing its closure for a day. And this person captured the electrifying moment on their camera. Per someone else there: “Ooooh I missed it!” Well at least you can watch this video. It’s like how I can relive all the fun my friends had without me after last weekend by watching the videos they posted to social media. In two of them you can actually see people sending my calls straight to voicemail.
