These are four videos (to prove it’s a learned behavior and not just a one-time occurrence) of a hungry cat removing a landline phone from its cradle (Cat’s In The Cradle! — hit it, Harry Chapin) so it starts making the off-hook tone as a sort of makeshift alarm clock to wake its human caretakers and be fed. Admittedly, a pretty effective way to wake up your humans. Also a pretty effective way to become an outdoor cat.
