This is a video captured by the kind folks of the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center veterinary hospital in Roanoke of a female opossum growling, presumably upset about having to deal with a trip to the doctor. I’m right there with you, Ms. Opossum. The video claims most people haven’t heard the sound of an opossum growling, which means most people aren’t nearly as inquisitive as I am. They get louder the longer you hug them.
