This is a video captured by the kind folks of the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center Veterinary Hospital in Roanoke of a female opossum growling, presumably upset about having to take a trip to the doctor. I’m right there with you, Ms. Opossum, I growl the entire time until I get my lollipop. The video claims most people have never heard the sound of an opossum growling, which means most people aren’t nearly as inquisitive as I am. They get even louder the longer you hug them.
