Would listen to in a smokey jazz bar any day of the week.
Juilliard Professor Improvises Drums For Nirvana’s ‘In Bloom’ After Hearing It For First Time

This is a clip of The Juilliard School small ensemble professor and jazz drummer Ulysses Owens Jr. improvising drums for Nirvana’s ‘In Bloom’ after hearing the song for the first time. They provide him with a drumless cut of the song, and the rest is up to him. He does an absolutely fantastic job, creating something very close to Dave Grohl’s own drumming on the track. That is impressive. Me? I have zero musical talent, so if I were tasked with the same challenge my performance would have been almost entirely theatrical in nature. “Smashing the drum kit and stage-diving into an invisible audience.” Then picking up and swallowing my chipped teeth!
